2. PowerPoint 2010 offers many new, improved, easy to use features that make creating slideshow presentations simple and user friendly.

3. The PowerPoint 2010 user interface was updated and is designed to make it easier for people to find and use the full range of features that Office applications provide.

4. One of the new and improved features in PowerPoint 2010 is the ribbon which stretches across the top of the document window in a rectangular “ribbon” shape.

5. When you click the FILE tab, all available choices are shown in what is called “backstage” view because these are features that occur “behind the scenes” of your document.

6. The PowerPoint 2010 file format enables new features such as sharing on the Web, linked presentation co- authoring, and versioning. PowerPoint 2010 will continue to work on Office PowerPoint 2007 presentations.

7. E-mailed files and attachments that may be risky to view, or files that contain active content such as macros, data connections, or ActiveX controls are validated and can open in Protected View.

8. Co-authoring functionality enables multiple users to work collaboratively on a presentation without intruding on each other’s input and locking each other our. * New content is automatically highlighted. * Author information for any added or shared content is identified by a color-coded bar showing the author’s initials. * Version support lets users see when and by whom changes were made to a presentation, and automatically highlights changes relative to earlier versions of the presentation. * Faster synchronization of pages so that changes are displayed to all authors in near real-time.

9. PowerPoint 2010 has a remote slide show capability that lets you present a slide show over the Web or a network connection to virtual attendees or live attendees, or both.

10. Working with text and objects just got easier! PowerPoint 2010 uses improved editing features with a new set of Photo Effects that enable you to transform your images.

11. PowerPoint 2010 allows you to embed, edit/trim and play video in your presentation. No more missing separate video files to worry about! !

12. PowerPoint 2010 allows you convert your presentation to a video for widespread distribution. !

13. PowerPoint 2010 gives you the flexibility to merge and compare your presentation with another, track and manage changes for the final presentation.

14. PowerPoint 2010 has web apps that allow you to save your presentation on a server, to be accessed later.

15. PowerPoint 2010 has an extensive amount of features that allow users to create, collaborate and perfect the art of slideshow presentations.
