While that is wrapping up successfully there are a few end of year items that teams have forgotten and need to turn in by Friday (except for those still in season like Baseball and Track). Those forms are found on the Compliance webpage under the Play and Practice – General and are due immediately: Participation Record – Document that goes through each contest and records both who participated and those who only traveled but did not compete. Participation Report – A companion document to the Record, that confirms in each individuals status throughout the past year. This document is essential in notification of Medical Redshirts and confirming Residency Requirements as well as Automatic Redshirts due to practice only. COACHES EXAM The annual Coaches Recruiting Exam will be administered by Dr. Dore on the following dates: May 28 th in Classroom B of the Library at 9 am June 28 th in Classroom B of the Library at 1 pm Please remember that you are only able to take your 2009-10 NCAA Manual, and the New Legislative Summary (which can be found on the compliance webpage under Recruiting – General) The practice test for this year’s exam is located on the NCAA website by typing in “coaches certification practice tests” in the white search box on the right hand side of the NCAA.org webpage or just type the following into your address bar http://www.ncaa.org/wps/portal/ncaahome?WCM_GLOBAL_CONTEXT=/ncaa/nc aa/legislation+and+governance/compliance/certification+and+training/coaches+ certification/coaches_practice_test http://www.ncaa.org/wps/portal/ncaahome?WCM_GLOBAL_CONTEXT=/ncaa/nc aa/legislation+and+governance/compliance/certification+and+training/coaches+ certification/coaches_practice_test START THE NEW YEAR The following forms are now available for submission by accessing the Compliance Webpage under the appropriate headings as seen below: Scholarship Renewal/Non-Renewal Form – Located under Coaches – General; due Friday, May 28 th for all sports that have concluded June 2 nd for all others. Play and Practice Season Declaration Page – Located under Play and Practice – Declaration/Scheduling; due June 2 nd. This page must be submitted along with the Contest Scheduling Form and the Big South Counting Sheets located in the same section of the website. Please submit any topics or ideas you wish to have discussed in future newsletters. NEWS The Compliance Office will be under going a review by the Big South Conference Office from June 9-10 th and as such requests your patience over the coming days. Also note that you or your students may be asked to meet with the conference office during this time. Lastly, the please watch your email for notice of the annual New Legislation Review that will be upcoming shortly.
