2 What do we do? The Registrar’s Office assists prospective, current, and past students. You may think the Registrar’s Office only helps students register for classes, but we do so much more than that. Here are some examples of what we do:  Keep student records up to date  Evaluate transfer credit  Senior Degree Audits  Majors/Minors/Concentrations  Schedule Classrooms  Academic Calendars/Course Availability  Administrative Projects

3 Prospective/Freshmen Students  Evaluate any college courses taken in high school  Create first semester schedules  Make sure you have your final high school transcripts in  Help students with class conflicts  Freshmen orientation

4 Sophomores/Juniors  Evaluate courses taken at another institution over summer/winter sessions  Assist students with registering for classes  Change majors/minors  Keep up to date records of transcripts/program evaluations  Fix scheduling conflicts  Provide enrollment verifications  FERPA

5 Seniors  Applications for degree  Senior degree audits  Visit www.lemoyne.edu/registrar and follow the steps to make sure you are on track for graduation!www.lemoyne.edu/registrar  Order diplomas  Confer degrees

6 Alumni  Provide degree verifications through the National Student Clearing House  Transcripts  Diploma reorders

7 Faculty/Staff/Department Chairs  Provide instructions for entering grades, roster verifications, and advising tips  Work with scheduling courses  Classroom reservations  Waivers  Running reports through our database

8 Social Problems  Conflict between parents/students with FERPA  Releasing student information to 3 rd parties  Creating a fair basis on classroom reservations for faculty

9 Theory  Structural Functionalism: seeing society as a complex system whose parts work together to promote solidarity and stability  Working with students/faculty/staff to promote student achievement  Working with other offices on campus (Admission, Bursar, Continuing Education, Advising…)
