3 What are bears What are bears Did you know a bear is a mammal?All bears are mammals because every bear give birth to live young, all have fur, and all bears are warm blooded. A polar bear that has already given birth to cubs.Now the mother bear must teach these cubs to the skills to surviving in the wild. ---

4 male and female polar bears male and female polar bears Male and female polar bears are similar because they both don’t hibernate at all during the winter.However a male polar bear weighs 770 to 1430 pounds,while a female polar bear weighs 330 to 550 pounds.

5 Why bears are endangered Why bears are endangered Bears are endangered because people take away there land for farming area, to build houses on, and we cut down trees in the forest that bears live in witch is giving them less space to live in and making them die out.Also because some bears are killed for medicine.

7 growing up as a bear growing up as a bear When a bear is growing up it must learn many skills. First it is born in a den or during hibernation. Next it grows up were it is able to leave its den witch will take about 3 to 6 weeks. Then it fallows its and learns skills (like learning how to catch pray) by watching its mother. Lastly the cub is big enough to go in the wild alone. And now it will hibernate and have cubs of its own. Then the cycle will go all over again.

8 summery summery In conciliation bears are an amazing mammal.There are 7 different types of bears, a grizzly bear,an American black bear, a sun bear, a sloth bear, a spectacled bear, a Asiatic black bear, a polar bear, and a giant panda.These bears are all omnivores, mammals and are endangered.

9 Glossary Warm blooded - that animals body temp. will not change with the environment. Sow - another word for female bear. Endangered - in risk of dyeing out. Hibernate - in a deep sleep. Omnivore - an animal that eats both plants and animals.
