2. Project The pupils of IIa Gimnazjum nr 3 inWadowice are conducting an educational project on reconstruction of Wadowice market square

A little bit of history The proper name of Wadowice market square is Jan Paweł II square, former known as Plac Armii Czerwonej 1430 – there was a quadrant marked out The fire in 1819 made the eastern wall changed 2006 – erection of Jan Paweł II monument 2011 – reconstruction of the market square

7. Where did we get the funds from? The town hall of Wadowice got the money from European Union.

8. How much will it cost? The reconstruction will cost 11.000.000,00 PLN.

15. We visited the Mayor

16. The Mayor explained: We asked Mr. Jończyk whether he thinks that the money allocated to reconstruction of the market square could be used in other way e.g. to build a hospital. The Mayor explaied that the money gained from the EU can be used only for this purpose. Morover he informed that the county is trying to get money to build the hospital.

18. The Mayor said: Reconstruction of the market square will bring a lot of advantages to our city. It will attract more tourists. She expressed the deepest hopes of finishing the works as soon as possible.

19. We also conducted a survey among 50 inhabitants of Wadowice.
