Scan Doctrine and Covenants 93:8–11 looking for titles used to describe the Savior.

“The Only Begotten of the Father” “The light and the Redeemer of the world” “The Spirit of truth” “The Word, even the messenger of salvation” “In the Greek language of the New Testament, that Word was Logos, or ‘expression.’ … So Jesus was the Word, or expression, of His Father to the world” (“Jesus the Christ: Our Master and More,” Ensign,Apr. 2000, 4).

Doctrine and Covenants 93:12–13 In what ways did Jesus ‘express’ His Father’s example? Define ‘grace’ Grace is not the light at the end of the tunnel. Grace is the light that moves us through the tunnel. Grace doesn't help us earn heaven. Grace helps us learn heaven Grace is not about filling gaps. Grace is about filling us. Grace doesn't just save us from sin. Grace saves us for heaven. Grade isn't just a favor He gives to us. Grace is an investment He made in us.

Grace doesn't just cleanse us. Grace transforms us. Grace does not just allow us to go home to heaven. Grace helps us feel at home when we reach heaven. Grace is not achieved somewhere down the road. Grace is received right here and right now. Grace doesn’t make up the difference. Grace makes all the difference. Grace is not a finishing touch. Grace is the Finisher’s touch. Doctrine and Covenants 93:12–13 In what ways did Jesus ‘express’ His Father’s example?

“In all that Jesus came to say and do He was showing us who and what God our Eternal Father is like, how completely devoted He is to His children in every age and nation. In word and in deed Jesus was trying to reveal and make personal to us the true nature of His Father, our Father in Heaven. “He did this because all of us need to know God more fully in order to love Him more deeply and obey Him more completely. … “So feeding the hungry, healing the sick, rebuking hypocrisy, pleading for faith—this was Christ showing us the way of the Father.” (“The Grandeur of God,” Elder Holland, Ensign, Nov. 2003, 70, 72).

A fulness of glory (vs 6) A fulness of light & truth (vs 26,28) A fulness of joy (vs 33) Based on this principle of grace, how do we obtain a ‘fullness’?

“Perfect worship is emulation. We honor those whom we imitate” (Elder Bruce R. McConkie). “Be better today than you were yesterday, and be better tomorrow than you are today...Thus continue to be a little better day by day” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Lorenzo Snow [2012], 103).

Doctrine and Covenants 93:21–23 What are some of the responsibilities of being a firstborn?  What is intelligence? D&C 93:29  Is Satan intelligent? D&C 93:36-37  Are you (currently) intelligent? D&C 93:39  How do you gain intelligence? D&C 93:27  Are your parents intelligent? D&C 93:40-42
