1 Email Evidence Including email tools and etiquette

2 Subject The subject line informs the reader what the email contains. The reader can automatically tell if they need to open the email as the subject informs them about the recipient, because if the subject line does not make sense then the receiver may not open as they could think its junk mail.

3 Reply Reply is where you can email back the sender and the subject changes to “RE” then the original subject line. It adds RE so the original sender known its a reply and nothing else. With writing a reply the original first email is shown at the bottom, Because if the sender send hundred of email each day he or she cant remember each and every one, the copy on the bottom is so you know what to write in your reply.

4 Forward Forward is when you receive an email, but you need to forward it to other people. For example ; your boss emails you an important message and documents but he needs you to send it to your other work colleges this is where forward comes in.

5 Cc Cc = Carbon copy Cc is when you send a copy of the exact email to other people. This is because ‘To’ is the many receiver but you want other people to see it too.

6 Bcc Bcc = Blind carbon copy Blind carbon copy is when you send an email to a group of people, but the receiver doesn’t know they have sent it to them. As their name do not show when opened the email.

7 Attachment An attachment is when you attach a folder, video, picture and forms. Can be anything, attachment is used For when you want the receiver to look, read, download the attach to reader, listen to, or fill in.

8 Signature A Signature is informing the reader who the email is from. Signature are good to have as they inform them your name, address of the Company, post code and your work or home telephone number Then any other details e.g. ; email address, fax.

9 Automatic reply Automatic replies are used for when receiving a email, but you are unable to reply, or your busy then if you set up an automatic reply, straight after you have received it.

10 Contacts Contacts are the people, you have received email from and if you save them when recivering emails from them they wont be put in junk, sometimes whit email if ‘Google’ think its junk they might move it only because of the address of the content.

11 Folder Organisation Folder organisation is when you add a new folder and name it, this is able to store with the suitable email. For example ; R005 survey monkey – has only email for other people containing their codes to fill in the survey, or information about the work that is needed.

15 Saving emails and files Saving email into different folders for example you might have a friends folder and a family folder depending what the emails are for. If you receive a attachment you would save into our Wdrive

16 Setting up an email group We would use a group email to send the same message to more than one person.
