WELCOME TO THE HEALTH CARE UPDATE FOR FEBRUARY 2006

With Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) coming, some HSC families decided to take some orphans home with them for the holidays. John, Pippa, and Nancy from Hephzibah enjoyed sharing “family time” in their homes.

We request “upward thoughts” for Baby Susan, a cute 7 month old girl who has a very serious heart disease. After being checked by Dr. Farhan, she was sent to Shanghai for life-saving surgery.

Meet our new Chinese doctor at HSC, Dr. Xu (pronounced “shoe”) shown with an adorable patient.

On February 14, orphans of three different ages were brought from Hope Haven to see Health Services Centre (HSC) doctors.

This mother brought her precious child to HSC because he has a brain disease.

Mr. Laurie Sanders, our International Communications Officer, provided a great help to the Healthcare Team. Laurie left Xi’an to return to New Zealand on February 16, 2006. We all miss him and look forward to his eventual return.
