1. Welcome to the Introduction to the NCIR Home Page lesson for the North Carolina Immunization Branch.

2. The NCIR Home Page From the Home Page you will be able to maneuver through the NCIR. All of your menu options are located in the blue box on the left hand side of the screen. Let’s explore the Home Page with all its functions. The name of your organization should appear on this yellow bar along with your name and your user role as identified by the administrator. The Home key will always allow you to return to the home page. Change Password screen allows you to change your old password to a new password. The Logout key allows you to exit the NCIR. Help Desk button allows you to access the NCIR Help Desk via phone or email. The Light Bulb button will allow you to access the online help modules which will give you help for the corresponding page that you are looking at.

3. Let’s look at some of the resources on the home page, starting with the System User Manual The System User Manual lists each section in chapters and is a guide for the NCIR. (pay close attention to chapters 7,8 and 9) The Announcements section contains announcements from the Immunization Branch such as memos, vaccine supply announcements, etc… The Release Notes section contains release notes related to the NCIR version updates The Resources on the Web section contains helpful web links to items such as the Immunization Branch home page and the Vaccine Information Statement link. These will all open in a new window. The Upcoming Events section contains information on upcoming immunization related events
