MS Excel: New Ideas Relative reference vs. Absolute  A “$” before column/row tells you that it’s not going to change if copied and pasted  Otherwise, formula keeps same relative position to ref Importing data Splitting and freezing panes Making a chart  Pick right type for your data (bar, XY scatter)  Process changes greatly depending on edition  Basic Idea: chart as placeholder, put data sets in to chart one by one 5 Demo up front with sample files
