3. At school (Group 1) Using one course book for 2 students we can save paper and wood. We should plant more trees into the schoolyard. We can turn off the lights in the daytime and computers when we don’t use them. We should use torches or candles instead of electric light bulbs. We should wear warmer clothes and then we don’t have to switch on the heating system. We should go to school on foot or use public transport. We should learn more about the global warming and go to geography lessons, to know how to reduce it. Cleaners should wash the floors once a day to reduce the use of chemicals.

4. At home (Group 2) Use electricity only when necessary. Don’t waste water: wash with a washing machine and dishwasher. Sort rubbish. Don’t throw half-empty things away. Don’t use strong chemical products. Cope with less warmth. Don’t burn things that may pollute the environment. Have a shower not a bath. Don’t wash your laundry in an almost empty washing machine. Sell your cars and use bicycles.
