2 Our Purpose To promote and advance the improvement of records and information management and related fields through study, education, and research To advance professional knowledge and techniques by sharing and exchanging experiences and information To develop and advance standards of professional competence in the field of records and information management To obtain information about new software and hardware technologies available to information management

4 2008-2009 Highlights Silver State hosted the 53 rd Annual ARMA International Conference in 2008 Two members of the chapter attended the Leadership Conference in 2008 Chapter initiated a Membership Survey to better align meeting topics to meet the needs of our members

5 Meeting Variety Meetings held every other month resulting in steady attendance Each meeting averages 25 members = 45% chapter attendance. Some decline recognized due to economic climate change Free meeting pass for members bringing a nonmember Free meeting locations

6 Meeting Subjects E-mail Archiving Conducting a Records Management Audit Integrated Document Imaging E Discovery Best Practices for Tape Storage and Electronic Vaulting Compliance Audit

7 During the 2008 International Conference: High attendance of chapter members, including a majority of the ARMA International Host Committee Earned $1,400 by holding a raffle for our chapter’s charity- Safe House in Henderson, NV Safe House is committed to stopping domestic violence Great networking opportunities and building friendships within the Chapter Chapter Participation
