4 WHY? –Why your Troop is Fundraising? Make a list of activities the Troop would like to participate in –Camps –Special Events –Trips –Determine the cost of each member participating –Involve everyone in making the list – boys and parents –Are there any other expenses outside of the above activities the Troop will need to raise funds for, ie. dues, patches, etc??

(cont.) –Easy Techniques “Hello, My name is, I am with the Trail Life USA Troop ___, will you HELP my Troop earn funds for xyz?” Donation/Community Service Approach during sale and product delivery Turning No’s into Yes’s easily Partnering up with other members who excel in selling can help train others and boost confidence Manners are very important During Delivery of Product –“Thank you for purchasing” goes a long way to future sales –Give out a Thank You Card from the Troop with your Troop information - have each member sign their name –Offer customer the ability to purchase another item to donate for Service Project
