Selectees will be highlighted in a dedicated issue of CM Magazine and will receive an award at World Congress. 8 6 8 Nomination / Selection Process Establish the Selection Committee (10 Current CMLDP Members and NCMA Fellows) Define our evaluation criteria: –Selection criteria are clearly described in the Nomination Form –Described on next slide Reviewer assigns points for each category Each application is reviewed by two members of the Selection Committee to ensure fairness Points from reviewers 1 and 2 are averaged A tie between two nominees is debated Final list is debated among the Committee to ensure that the subjective rankings reflect the Committee’s intent. The top 40 candidates will be listed in alphabetical order in CM Magazine.

9 6 9 Nomination Criteria Candidates must be under 40 years of age as of July 31, 2013 Must not be a current member of the T40 U40 Committee Nominee must show demonstrated excellence in: –Professional Development (education, training, etc.) –Innovation and Achievement (challenging situations, complex programs, etc.) –Leadership and Influence (training and motivating others, mentoring, etc.) –Clear Vision to Shape Future of Profession –Contribution to Profession and Impact with NCMA Who is reinventing the field of CM? Who is a CM thought leader? Who should you hire today? Who will you be working for in 20 years? Who gives back to their community? Who, in short, under the age of 40 should you be following?

10 11 10 The Result: CM Magazine & Award The Committee will produce one Issue of CM Magazine dedicated to Top 40 Under 40, to include: –Complete list of the NCMA Top 40 Under 40 in Contract Management awardees –Biographies and vignettes on Top 40 awardees –Leadership and workforce articles –NCMA on-ramps (ways to get involved with the association) –CMLDP Highlights July 2013 publication
