5. Dr. Jani Macari Pallis Associate Professor University of Bridgeport A biomedical industrial, mechanical and aeronautical engineer CEO of Cislunar Aerospace, Inc. "Do it. 6.  In 1958, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) began a project called Mercury 7.  Among 508 pilots, NASA selected 7 first American men Astronauts.  After several successful missions, NASA was able to prove human space flight that led to different programs, like APOLO  After four decades, voluntary feminists (some men and women) started wondering to try out the tests of Mercury 7 on females.

7.  The society believed that women do not have guts to perform tremendously incredible activities, such as Aeronautics.  Although females already started participating in different sciences in that era, it took them around 40 years to explore aeronautics, after the first men astronauts – Mercury 7.  It was mistakenly understood that Aeronautics was only for men. -It was roughly and hereditarily assumed that women would not be able to handle such big activity. -After 4 decades of men’s dominance of the science, the females started the first air rigorous tests – called Mercury 7.

8.  This was a great era that the realization of gender equality and the beginning of eradicating gender discrimination happened.  This was the time women started emerging on difficult areas like engineering.  This was the era in which the possibility of extraordinary activities, like Aeronautics, was also done by women as equal as men Asgedom Asmelash

10.  Early assignments included flight dynamics, recovery of supersonic gliders, lunar reentry vehicle research, and orbital rendezvous.  In 5 years she moved up to be a senior engineer to work on several missile projects.  In 1968 she was named a manager of Mission Requirements and Evaluations on the Apollo program.  In 1973 she received a medallion from NASA in recognition of the major role she played in the Apollo 11 mission.
