Five hundred begins it, five hundred ends it, Five in the middle is seen; First of all figures, the first of all letters, Take up their stations between. Join all together, and then you will bring Before you the name of an eminent king Who makes it, has no need of it. Who buys it, has no use for it. Who uses it can neither see nor feel it. I know a word of letters three. Add two, and fewer there will be. 1. 2. 3. 4. WHAT AM I ? **** One Sunday my minister preached a sermon on salvation. He concluded it by saying “and if at the end of your life---You can say as Old Blue Eyes (Frank Sinatra) did—I Did it my way – You have missed the whole point!!” To me, one thing is clear. Without God, life has no purpose & without purpose life has no meaning. Therefore, we need to try to figure out how we view our life, and how it appears that God views life for us as reflected in the Bible. We should constantly say to ourselves as the poet did---I will do more than be a member—I will participate; I will do more than give—I will serve; I will do more than live—I will grow; I will do more than be friendly—I will be a friend; I will do more than talk—I will listen & thus, by the grace of God, I will do more.
