2 Definitions Alcoholism: _______________; using it in the wrong way. Alcoholic: A person who _____________. Today’s topic: Living with someone who drinks too much. This may be a tough topic to listen and talk about for some people, but it is an important topic. Abusing alcohol abuses alcohol

False: We have talked about this poster before, but today we are going to concentrate on the drug user saying or doing things to people that they are close to (FAMILY). You are now going to listen to a story about a child whose parent was an alcoholic.

5 Page #14 in your packet The 4 C’s Cause- you didn’t cause the person you know to start drinking. They choose to drink, not because of what you do or don’t do. Control- You can’t control the person you know. They will not stop drinking just because you said so. Cure- You can’t cure the drinking. It’s too much for you to do alone. It will cause you a lot of pain and stress. Care- It’s okay to care for the person you know. Let them know you love them and don’t want to see them hurt themselves.

6 Homework Finish 5 minute education. If your 5 minute ed’s are done- you can use your Packet on the test!!! If they are not done- you cannot use your packet on the test!!!
