2.  Roofs – check for damaged or missing shingles  Gutters – have to have leaves cleaned out  Downspouts – connect to gutters to carry water away from the foundation of the house  Roofs & drainage systems should be checked every six months

3.  Carpet – should be vacuumed weekly to prolong the life of the carpet  Upholstery – a sofa/chair should be vacuumed and folds should be checked for small articles  Walls/floors –  A small, thick rug should be shook out to clean it Kitchen shelves/drawers should be cleaned out monthly

4.  Walls – repair holes with spackling compound  Repair faded/peeling wallpaper by removing  Plumbing – when using chemical drain cleaners to unclog a drain, use as directed as chemicals harm skin/eyes
