2 roots & respected figures  write down several people who you deeply respect  what specific qualities or characteristics do you respect in each of them?  look for “clusters” or individual qualities that particularly stand out  the qualities that stand out suggest values that are very important for you

3 taking control/making time roots roles goals diary

4 roles help avoid imbalance  husband  relative  friend  clinician  educator  planet-care: house, car, accountant, etc  self-care x 2 for example:

5 four aspects of helpful inner focus reducing negative states nourishing positive states exploring & processing encouraging mindfulness process/attitude visualisation; linking respected qualities to areas of the body, reminder words, and images; “four steps to love”; forms of prayer and meditation; etc

6 the practice for the next few weeks full standard exercise: Both arms are heavy and warm Both legs are heavy and warm The pulse is steady and calm Breath breathes me Belly warm and radiates warmth Forehead cool and clear Neck and shoulders are heavy I am at peace every day: practise this full standard autogenic exercise at least twice daily. Try too the energizing and quieting additional options.
