2. Law of Inertia

3. Toy Train This toy train will stay in motion and will keep going around the station unless acted upon by an outside force.

4. A car going on a straight highway This car will stay moving unless acted upon by an outside force like a traffic light.

5. A Pen The law of inertia states that an object at rest stays at rest. This pen will stay on the table unless an outside force moves it.

6. Law of Acceleration

7. A girl trying to move a car She is trying to move the car but is not going anywhere. More force needs to be applied to the heavier object (the car) so it can be moved.

9. A little boy trying to push open a closed door As the little boy pushes the door he cannot open it. He will need help from an outside force so the door can open. The door is heavier than him but if he was heavier than the door he could open the door easily.

13. A girl jumping As the girl jumps off the floor gravity pushes her back down and the floor pushes her upward.
