3 Safe-T-first: main menu The American Automobile Association (AAA) has released its findings for 2004 regarding average motorist safety in the event of an untimely minor breakdown or traffic incident. Approximately 75% of motorists who encounter a minor traffic incident or breakdown are incapable of implementing a safe solution to the situation without the intervention of another individual. 4 Safe-T-first; in print The National Transportation and Safety Bureau (NTSB) statistics from 2003 to 2004 show an increase of 35% in the number of traffic situations created by drivers who are unable to deal with ordinary automobile related emergencies including (but not limited to) keys locked in car, flat tire, overheating, battery failure, loss of power steering, loss of brakes, broken windshield or window glass, etc. Safe-T-first has developed printed materials designed to inform you how to react safely in the case of an emergency. 7 Safe-T-first has developed training designed to enable you to react safely in the case of an emergency. All our instructors are Safe-T-first trained and certified to be Safe-T-first trainers at our participating sites. At each site the trainers will provide their customers with all the printed materials introduced to you by the “Material in Print” icon at the left as well as providing bi-weekly face to face training sessions. 8 The bi-weekly classes are designed to run one hour in length and are offered at cost of $30.00 per session. Because Safe-T-first has established a relationship with the American Automobile Association we can offer these sessions free to AAA members and at reduced rates to members of any of our other supporting sponsors. During each session you will learn specific strategies designed to prepare for an automotive incident before you encounter it. 9 We all know that many incidents occur that are simply unavoidable, these are accidents. Anyone that has had one knows what runs through your mind after being involved in an accident. At Safe-T-first we work directly with our supporting sponsors in the Insurance Industry to create training that will make filing a claim easier and more efficient. We give you the procedures to follow so that all the details are covered. We train you to know exactly what information you need to exchange with others involved and what not to say to the police or their insurance representative. 10 The active OnStar Navigation Link service will be provided at two levels of service. The first level is in the form of a Kiosk on the OnStar Navigational screen in the dash of their automobile. This computer screen will serve as the display for prepackaged tailored information regarding the suggested procedures to handle many of the most common roadside emergencies. Safe-T-first has OnStar emergency support designed to assist immediately and safely in the case of and emergency. 11 The second level of service will be linked via the OnStar satellite system to a real time, human operator, that will be able to provide individualized tailored information that is specific to the type of automobile the motorist is driving and the type of incident that has been encountered. 12 Level OneOnStar- Kiosk We have developed an emergency resource available to all Safe-T-first OnStar clients via the in car navigational screen in the dash of your luxury automobile. There you will be able to browse through a menu of the most common roadside emergencies and learn exactly what to do to solve your specific problem yourself. 13 Level OneOnStar - Kiosk Once you have identified your problem use the OnStar navigational menu to proceed through the screens. Proceed only far enough to find the procedures required to resolve your current problem, there is no need to complete every slide. You may exit the program at any point. 14 Level Two OnStar - Satellite We have developed an emergency resource available to all Safe-T-first OnStar- Satellite clients via the in car navigational screen in the dash of your luxury automobile. In the event you need direct assistance form one of our Safe-T-first OnStar- Satellite operators simply activate your OnStar link by pressing the OnStar button on the dash of your luxury automobile. 15 Level Two OnStar - Satellite In a moment your call will be answered by one of our Safe-T-first OnStar- Satellite operators. They will have immediate access to your vehicle information as well as your location within an accuracy of 3 meters. As a result, they will be prepared to assist you with what ever emergency situation you have encountered. 16 Level Two OnStar - Satellite If you are experiencing an emergency your Safe-T-first OnStar- Satellite operator will immediately make the necessary calls to bring emergency care directly to your location. If you are not experiencing an emergency your Safe-T-first OnStar- Satellite operator can help you determine the problem you are experiencing by helping you trouble-shoot your vehicle.
