3  Alex was born March 3,1847  Started his career as a speech teacher  Bells parents moved to Ontario,Canada  Alexander was the second child out of three boys  Bells older brother died of tuberculosis  He spent many weeks in Bostin

4  He went to University of Edinburgh  Alex learned Greek and Latin  Bell was homeschooled by his mom  Alexander memorized many Shakespeare songs  Alex taught at Somersetshire College  Bell planned on being a musician

5  He invented the telephone  Alex invented the hot air balloon  Bell created the a boat called Hydrofoil  Alexander worked as a deaf teacher  He opened his own school  Built a machine with his brother that could talk

6  Alex got married to Mabel Hubbard  Bell had 2 boys  Alex became an American citizen  Bell received France’s Volta prize  Alexander began a company  Alex died August 2,1922

7  Alex’s invention changed the way people communicate  Bell taught deaf students how to talk and to understand what people were saying all his life  Alex’s mom was also deaf  Alex got to choose his middle name  He helped Helen Keller learn to speak  Alex’s mom was an artist  Alex taught his dog to growl on commands
