5. Theme 2: Promoting Local Economic Strategies for Investment  Review of National Laws and Local Regulations - consistency of incentive-giving laws (e.g. tourism, mining, BPO-IT, agri-business) with local tax code and local investment incentives act

Theme 3: Improving Information Support for Business Matching & Investment Promotion  Assist LGUs in generating information for promoting investments, e.g. - use of LGU business registration information for business matching - linking NGA database for efficient data sharing (e.g. Philippine Business Registry)  Develop with business groups a framework for regular private sector (e.g. local chambers) and LGU interaction to discuss issues and plan investment-related projects
