Group Discussion - Private Sector Investment and Partnership Critical areas Clear definition of roles: Government as a facilitator/regulator; provide infrastructure to facility investments. The private sector as a key drive for investments along the value chain. The civil society in terms of capacity building, resource mobilization and advocacy Create conducive private sector investment climate : policy, regulatory framework, land tenure etc. [in Sierra Leone, MoU with investors]; system for dialogue, monitoring, reporting; Public sector facilitate infrastructure Capacity building for small holders and indigenous private sector; long term investment opportunities Integrate small holders into small scale and large scale investments (land grabbing, poverty reduction etc)
