3 Creating Forms in Word 2003 What is an electronic form? What is an electronic form? An electronic form is a Word document, but with certain restrictions. Only certain parts of the document (called form fields) can be edited; the rest of the document is protected.

A form can be used for any type of document you have that is asking for standard information; for example, an application to attend a conference would ask for such things as name, address, age and so forth.

9 Creating Forms in Word 2003 Steps to creating a form: 1. Open Forms toolbar 2. Place form fields in document 3. Protect document 4. Save document as a template 5. Use the template to create final document.
