4 Job of the Leader Ministry Team (5%): Recruit, train, lead, shepherd, provide vision & direction, encourage, motivate and pray for the volunteers, enabling them to do the work of the ministry Students (35%): To pursue meaningful time with students on a consistent basis. To provide individual biblically based counseling/care-given about specific life issues as they arise. This process will include volunteers whenever possible and appropriate

5 Job of the Leader Teaching (20%): Weekly communicator/point person. To coordinate and oversee content, scope & sequence, and intent of all teaching, discipleship, and small group materials. Administration (15%): To provide the necessary planning, both in over all direction and specific event details, to accomplish the ministry effectively. Events, fundraising, retreat, Field trips, etc.. To oversee and manage the finances and budget on an overall basement and for specific events. To create and manage multimedia presentations and the actual set design to complement the educational topics and concept presented week. To develop, Courtney, and present musical programs needed by enlisting volunteers, musicians, and self delivery.

6 Job of the Leader Communication (5%): To provide consistent and effective communication to students, parents, and ministry teams. To oversee and ensure communication by adults regarding specific events, groups, etc. Through the use of website, bulletins, newsletters E-mail, Social media, And other defective means Parents (10%): To maintain regular, intentional, and meaningful connections with parents who have students involved in the ministry and program. To coordinate, at a minimum, an annual meeting with all parents.

7 Job of the Leader Partnerships (10%): To partner with the adult leadership teams and ministry leaders for overall direction, philosophy, and evaluation of church. To partner with other outside organizations as well as inside organizations and ministries to build bridges throughout the community when it relates to youth programming.

12 The 168 Are you: Deeply Satisfied, Moderately Satisfied, Moderately Dissatisfied, Deeply Dissatisfied? What would you like to see change? Be specific about why. If you were to free up some time, what would you do differently? Describe some things you would like to do differently with your time.

15 Work it out Use teaching curriculum : Don’t try to reinvent the wheel, just tweak it. Recruit adult leaders and interns: Many hands make work light Invest in a youth ministry student management system Delegate ministry task to students: They can handle it Set up meetings that require action points: Say NO to people who want commitments that don’t contribute enough value to the youth ministry mission.

16 Work it out Beat the alarm clock: The early bird get’s a jump on being organized! Build youth ministry alliances and partnerships Outsource youth ministry administration and errand tasks to parents or to the “retired” people in your church. ***If possible Work remotely Reduce email addiction: 6 am – 10 am – 2 pm – 4 pm
