7 Summary of Competitors Starbucks is one of our competing websites. I studied the website and found that the website is more geared towards an audience who wants to purchase coffee from them versus trying to attract people to their shops. This website is definitely for the more mature age of our target audience. The GACHET Lounge is another one of our competing sites. They cater to an audience who is over 21 years because they serve alcohol as well as coffee. There site is uniform throughout. Also, they also use formal language. The colors are light and sophisticated looking. This site does not have a lot of images nor does it have rich media. The reJAVAnate Coffee Lounge website had loud colors (orange and yellow). The webpage was informal. The web pages were not uniform throughout the site. This site used too many colors. This site became a little obnoxious after a while. Standard Pours and Coffee was a site that used a standard top and left image throughout the site. The colors were a very good choice. The website took a few seconds to download each page because of the images and the flash that were on the pages. Some of the graphics were blurry and there were too many font colors. The language style for this website was conversational.

8 End User Scenerios Tom Randall is a college student who has a laptop and uses it quite frequently. While his laptop is fast, the network on campus is not as fast. When Tom views websites on his laptop anywhere on campus, he gets a very slow response and becomes frustrated. It seems to him that he would be better off using a 56k modem. Tim frequents The Coffee Lounge on a regular basis and likes to keep track of the current activity at The Coffee Lounge. Sally Freeman works as a project manager at a local firm. The company gave her a moderate computer. Sally loves to attend poetry slams and found out that The Coffee Club offers poetry slams. She is very interested and likes to visit the web site often to see when the poetry slams are scheduled. She is also into experimental films.
