2 Teamwork in a School Setting Teachers! Teachers! Teachers! THANK YOU for attending this workshop! What do you think teamwork is? Is teamwork needed in the school setting? I’m here to answer these questions and more!

3 Teamwork in a School Setting Why do teachers need to work as a team? Teachers need to collaborate to improve student services. What is collaboration you say? Two or more people relying on each others inputs and feed back to accomplish a common goal.

4 Teamwork in a School Setting Co-teachers! Many of you are co-teaching this year. Co-teaching is like a marriage. Great partnerships start with Teamwork. We will have to pull together to meet our goal!

5 Teamwork in a School Setting Are you afraid of Consultation? Teachers, consultation is not confrontation! It is simply meeting with members of administration to resolve issues, improve instruction, and create student services.

6 Teamwork in a School Setting Teamwork can be improved by keeping an Open Mind. Attend meetings with pen and paper.

7 Teamwork in a School Setting In co-teaching set boundaries. Plan lessons together! Work together in setting classroom management models.

8 Teamwork in a School Setting Team building exercises. Get into groups of four and blind fold one person. The other three people are to direct the blind folded person to walk in space filled with cones. The object is to not touch the cones. It is your teams responsibility to make sure that does not happen. Remember Have Fun!!

9 Teamwork in a School Setting Get to know your co-teacher!!! Spend time with your co-teacher. Prevent staff splitting by communicating. Find a teaching method that works for both co-teachers. Problem solve together. Have Fun!!!!

10 Teamwork in a School Setting I hope you all had a great time. I can not wait to see what teamwork can do to our school. Working together, combining ideas, and staying positive are all great ways to start building relationships.
