3 3 What is instinct?  Instinct is a behavior that animals are born with.

4 4 What is migration?  Migration is the movement of a group of animals to one region and back again.

6 6 Animal behaviors can be two types.  Learned behaviors or instincts  Learned Instinct

7 7 What happens to an animal’s body temperature, breathing, and hear rate during hibernation?  They decrease or slow down.

11 11 When turtle eggs hatch, why do the baby turtles head to the water?  Instinct

12 12 Why do birds migrate to certain environments?  There is food and good climate.

13 13 The instinct to travel to the same location every year is called  migration

14 14 What does an animal do before it hibernates?  It finds shelter and eats extra food.

15 15 Why do animals migrate?  They migrate so they can meet their needs and survive.
