Site Location Bangkok  Thale Noi is the northernmost part of the Songkhla Lake system, covering about 28 square kilometers  Two main subdistricts – Thale Noi & Panang Tung, both in Khuan Kanoon District, Phattalung Province  Population approx. 20,000  Home of Thailand’s first Ramsar site: Khuan Kee-sian

3. Site Location Ramsar site: Khuan Kee-sian Thale Noi biodiversity has been identified as seriously vulnerable to climate change

4. Objectives 1.To promote the community’s learning about climate change and its impacts; 2.To brainstorm about approaches for climate change adaptation; and 3.To promote collaboration between the Subdistrict Organization and the community in coping with CCA.

5. The site activities 1. Established the working group for CCA in the area and tried to understand about the objectives and activities

6. The site activities 2. Prepared the visuals for the community’s learning such as: - The video clips about the impacts of climate change; and - The roll-up pictures about the causes of global warming and climate change.

7. The site activities 3. Formed the student group in order to promote the climate change learning in schools and the community.

8. The site activities 4. Collected the folk wisdoms about the countermeasures with the natural disasters in the past.

9. The site activities 5. Campaign for reduction of wastes and foam boxes in the community.

10. The site activities 6. Group discussion with the village headman and the subdistrict organization council members about the CCA operation plan.

11. The site activities 7. Explained the background and CCA operation plan in the village’s meeting.

12. What’s next... To promote learning of the people in the five villages and two schools about the climate change and adaptation. To coordinate with all stakeholders to integrate the operation planning about the CCA within the area. To operate the plan and follow up with the working group and the people.
