6. fright The beetle flipped over in fright. A surprise could give you a fright. If someone tiptoed behind you and tapped you on the shoulder, that might give you a fright.

7. fright Some wild animals are scary. If you were in the jungle and you saw a tiger, would you run away in fright? What other wild animals would give you a fright?

8. nearby If something is nearby, it is close to you.

9. nearby Effie’s voice was so loud and strong, it shook a nearby spider’s web. Look around you. Point out and name three things that are nearby.

10. nearby Think about a place where you would like to live. What would you want to have nearby? If you hear thunder, what would you think is nearby? What would you expect to happen next?

11. cram When you cram many things into something, you fill it with too much.
