31. True righteousness flows from the heart toward God and others. Conversion is to the person and work of Jesus Christ, not a particular system. (Baptist 1,2,3,4..., Nazarene, Presbyterian, E-Free, non- denominational, et al.) True righteousness places all values in submission to God, not the world. (Easy creepy-in thing.) True righteousness emphasizes justice, mercy and faithfulness. Be careful in condemning others. Search your own heart.

32. It is very easy to mistake the by-products for the product, the effects for the cause. If we are right before God (the Cause), then righteous acts (the effects) will follow. The acts can be present without heart being right before God. A right heart will, by nature follow the rules. Following the rules does not create a right heart. I John 3:11-24: Love God, love others.
