2. Where is Japan? Japan is in Asia. The Pacific Ocean and Sea of Japan surround the whole of japan. Tokyo is the capital city of Japan. There are 4 main islands but more than 4000 small ones.

3. Animals in Japan  There are lots of animals that live in Japan.  There are Macaques, Serows, Flycatchers and Koi Karp.  We have our table groups named after them this term!

4. Mount Fuji People climb Mount Fuji. Mount Fuji used to be a volcano but now it is a dormant volcano mountain. Mount Fuji often goes through the clouds it is so tall. There are huts on Mount Fuji for the climbers to stay in as they climb up.

5. The cherry Blossom festival This takes place in the whole of Japan. People celebrate the beautiful cherry blossoms each Spring. They have a picnic and pick a cherry blossom queen in a beauty contest!
