1 Week of November 11 th – 15th Reading- We have been working on determining the moral of a story, responding to non-fiction, and comparing/contrasting. We are also working on the CV syllable pattern, synonyms, and present tense verbs. Over the last few weeks, we have also been working on an informational writing piece about Super Storms! Please make sure that you have your child write in complete sentences, when working at home or completing homework Math- We are already working in Chapter 4 on 2-Digit Addition! Students are learning about many different addition strategies. It is important that students are taught these strategies so that they gain an in depth understanding of 2-digit addition. Please continue to have you child practice their addition and subtraction facts at home. Social Studies- We are kicking off our Native American unit. Over the next few weeks, students will be learning about six different Native American tribes. We will also be writing an informational piece on the important information that we collect from each tribe!
