The computer you will use should have the following applications installed on the C: drive 1. GIS software: ESRI ArcGIS 9.0 or Intergraph Geomedia Professional (5.0, 5.1, or 5.2)

Before You Begin Edited 10/14/05 3 You will need to download the data packet for your school. 1.Go to http://outreach.cast.uark.edu/east/schoolmappingproject/data and find the file for your school. These are self-executing “zip” files, and have a.exe extension. These self-executing zip files consist of compressed projects and their associated data. This data will extract to predetermined locations that will facilitate opening the project file.http://outreach.cast.uark.edu/east/schoolmappingproject/data 2.Right-click on the file and choose “Save target as…”, saving it to a location that you have permission to and will be able to find again. 3.Open the file, and click the “Unzip” button without changing anything else. You may need administrator privileges to do this. You have to unzip the file before you can access any of your data. Data
