1. The Foursquare Gospel Church of New Zealand “... I will sing of Your strength, in the morning. I will sing of Your love; for Your are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble” Psalms 59:16

2. Once again Christchurch was rocked by a second major earthquake in six months

3. Unfortunately this last earthquake was far more devastating than the September 4 th quake.

4. Stanmore Road, home of the first Foursquare Church plant (Open Hands Ministries) on the South Island of New Zealand.

5. Linwood, Christchurch

6. Unlike the first quake, many lives were lost and the destruction, much worse. As of this date: 155 lives have perished. More than 200 still missing. 750 buildings totally destroyed or will have to be torn down due to damage. 10,000 homes lost or heavily damaged. Estimated that over 50,000 people of fled the city, many never to return. Seven days after the quake there were still 55,000 homes without water, 30,000 without power and75,000 without sewer.

7. Emergency water was provided in our area by the NZ Army and their desalinization plant.

8. It was a joy to see the Los Angeles County Fire Dept. Search and Rescue Team assisting the efforts here in Christchurch!

9. Prayer Focus Points:  People Suffering as a Result of the Christchurch Earthquake.  Faith Life Foursquare and Pastor Calvin in Christchurch.  The Ten churches making up the Foursquare Gospel Church of NZ.  Families under attack, children and teens of Christchurch.  Celebrate Recovery ministry.  Church Leadership development.
