 Violence can be committed by someone that knows you but is most committed by strangers.

 Violence or street crime is robberies and thefts of items on the victim’s person, including pick pocketing.

 People feel very scared and they feel like they don’t have safety in there community.

 For you not to be scared of street violence or to prevent street violence you can move to a safe community that does not have street violence.

 It can be sort- of life or a person can be disable also a person can be scarred for a long time.

 Yong men between the ages of 18 and 24 are most vulnerable to assault but children and young people under the age of 18 are increasingly at risk.

 People get assaulted while walking, jogging and looking for keys at their own front door, on buses, in shops, in fact, in any public space.

 The risk of being assaulted or robbed on the street is actually quite low, but it is impossible to eliminate that risk altogether. Many victims could not have foreseen or avoided the circumstance that led to their attack, but there are some ways to reduce the risk of being targeted like:

 Try to keep to main roads and to avoid walking alone in darkness especially if you have been drinking or don’t have shoes that you fine difficult to walk or run on.

 Use black cabs or minicab companies that you trust, and never accept a lift from anyone offering to pick you up on the streets.

 If you think you are being followed. Try to fine a shop or other crowed area, or tell another passer by of your fear and ask them to remain talking to some where safe.

For the conviction of assault and battery may potentially include: * Imprisonment * Probation * Anger management class * Significant fines * Loss of the right to own a deadly weapon
