2 The Rules 1. Respect yourself, your peers, your teachers, and other adults. 2. Only speak when appropriate. 3. Stay on task! 4. Come to class PREPARED! 5. Ask “on-topic” questions! 6. Have FUN learning!

3 Classroom Procedures Coming into the classroom: Enter QUIETLY! Once you are in, you are in; no leaving! Sharpen your pencil before class begins! Begin working on the warm-up or follow instructions that are on the board.

4 Classroom Procedures cont’d Getting out of your seat: In the clear, if: No one is talking to the class and: You need to sharpen your pencil You need to throw something away Ask first, if: No one is talking to the class and: You need to leave the room You need something from the teacher. Don’t even think about it… if: Someone (the teacher or another student) is talking to the class.

5 Classroom Procedures cont’d Talking during class: There is a time to talk and a time to be quiet! The time to be quiet is: When the teacher is talking. When another student is presenting During a test/quiz During an individual assignment During warm-up time.

6 Classroom Procedures cont’d Before going to your next class: Throw away YOUR trash and any trash you may see on the floor. Push in your chair. Clean off your desk. Put any classroom materials back where they belong. Pick up your things!

7 Classroom Procedures cont’d Turning in assignments: Your work should be NEAT! Make sure you name, the date, the class period, and title are on it. Turn it in to the black bin in the front of the classroom, or MY hand! If it is due, TURN IT IN!!!! Even if I don’t ask for it. If you have any questions about late work, see me after class!

8 Consequences Classroom Consequences 1. One Negative Mark – Warning 2. Second Negative Mark – Lunch Detention 3. Third Negative Mark – Level B Level B Consequences 1. Two Days Lunch Detention/No Fun Friday 2. Team Time Out and Parent Contact 3. Referral to Mr. Keve 4. Referral to Principal

9 Rewards Daily Reward Dojo Dollars These dojo dollars can be used for: Patio Time ($20.00 per person or $30.00 for you and a friend) Lunch Booth ($10.00 per person or $15.00 for you and a friend) Computer Time or Game Time for After School ($5.00) Positive Note Sent Home Tickets for Drawing Weekly Rewards Fun Friday ALL work must be turned in for ALL of your classes. Nine Weeks Reward In order to participate in the Nine Weeks Reward, you must have received no more than TEN total negative marks.
