Beijing in China was also selected as the Olympic- place. What process did China go through to reach the goal of this, major economic powered continent? Well, you will learn that during this section, -China Transporting It self.

17 The Communists 。 The Communists ruled over China in the year of 1949. When the Communists took power over China, China never had peace almost for a century. Most Chinese were extremely poor.

18 China, under the government of Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong was a leader who made radical changes over China. There were many polices that actually drove the Chinese.. Nuts. And Here are the polices.

19 The Great Leap Forward The Great Leap Forward is a policy that made people work on large communes- to increase the production. But the Great Lap Forward ended up to be an Great Step, or Great Leap Backward. Many people who weren’t really good at working was making products that never worked for people.

20 The Cultural Revolution The Cultural Revolution is a also a policy that is made by Mao Zedong. The purpose of the policy was to make a complete, new society. He encouraged students to form a rebellion over their teacher and their parents, and families. The result of the Cultural Revolution was ended up as a disaster. Thousands of citizens had died.

21 The Red Guard The students who got encouraged by Mao Zedong and formed a rebellion over teachers and parents made a band called ‘Red Guard’ They demolished some beautiful, ancient buildings owned by China. They beat up many Chinese artists, doctors, and professors. The Red Guard got out of control and began to Threat MAO’S government. They ended up being imprisoned by Mao Zedong.

22 Deng Xiaoping Mao died in 1976. Around 1890s, Deng Xiaoping took control of China. Deng Xiaoping allowed some free enterprise. Farmers could sell the crops with pure profit, and private china factories started making electronic stuff, clothes, even toys, and many other stuff.

23 PS_ And going through Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, there WERE many extreme or radical changes. But now, China, again, is a major economic power. The Olympic will be held in the year of 2008, (which is this year) in Beijing, China.

25 Introduction_ In China, there are many China-ish traditions. In this section, I will explain you China’s traditions.

27 The other tradition is….TEA There is another tradition that is came from China, and it’s very common. I bet that you at least drank TEA once. The tea is a tradition from China. 28 THE GLORY THAT WAS CHINA China didn’t really have many to do with the rest of the world. They built the Great Wall of China and they called the rest of the worlds’ people like ‘Orankaes’.
