2. Purpose To observe osmosis Place eggs in vinegar. (to remove shell)
Measure weight of the eggs with a balance.
Measure size of the eggs with tape measure.
Place one egg in water then the other in corn syrup.
Measure weight and size again.

3. Hypothesis Egg in corn syrup Weight of egg will increase
Size of egg will be larger
The shape of the egg will be a it will look the same

4. Hypothesis Egg in water Weight of egg will decrease
Size of egg will get smaller
The egg will look the same

5. Materials Eggs Beakers Balance String Measuring tape Vinegar
Corn syrup
Water

6. Observation Chart Corn syrup Before Weight-71.5g Size- 16cm After
Water
Weight- 71.4g
Weight- 87.5g
Size- 18.5

7. Observation Vinegar: Egg is bouncy Beaker was foamy after 24h
Egg is squishy because shell is missing by the vinegar
Water:
Egg look fatter, when it was in water for 24h
Syrup:
Egg looks deflated and dented, when it was in corn syrup for 24h

8. Conclusion Water: Egg got larger has low concentration
Water moved to high concentration(water) to low concentration(egg)

Egg got smaller
High concentration
Water moved to high concentration (egg) to low concentration(syrup)

9. Conclusion High concentration to low concentration.
