4. The primary mechanism for inter-agency coordination of humanitarian assistance, The Inter-Agency Standing Committee was established in 1992. It consists of an executive level group known as The IASC Principals to make strategic decisions, a Working Group of senior representatives as well as Subsidiary Bodies and a Secretariat office.
