1 st The Gift is the Holy Spirit Himself, received as a personal indwelling at Baptism. 1 Thessalonians 4:8 “given us His Holy Spirit” 1 Corinthians 6:19,20 “your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you….”

How does the Holy Spirit Dwell Within Us? 2 Corinthians 6:16 God dwells within us Ephesians 3:17 “Christ dwell in your hearts” THROUGH FAITH Romans 10:17 Galatians 3:2

Scriptures Do Teach that the Holy Spirit Dwells within each child of God. No reason to Believe this Indwelling is any different than that of the Father or the Son All we have proven is that the Spirit dwells within us – Not that the Gift is this Indwelling

2 nd The Gift of the Holy Spirit is Eternal Life received at Baptism by all today. Ephesians 1:13-14 “sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise” 2 Corinthians 1:20-22 “sealed us & given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.”

“the gift” ‘objective genitive’ case thus must be Holy Spirit Himself Not true elsewhere: John 4:10 “the gift of God” Acts 8:20 “the gift of God” Therefore: the Gift is something the Holy Spirit gives.

Salvation a gift of (from) the Holy Spirit - Acts 2:39 extended to ALL “Remission of sins” & “Salvation” not the same. Remission of Sins is a Condition of & precedent to Salvation

3 rd “Gift” refers to Miraculous Gifts of the Holy Spirit, imparted by the apostles’ hands. No longer received today. “Promise” refers to Joel Chapter 2 Joel 2:28 NKJV 28 "I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;” Mark 16:17,18 to be fulfilled

Acts 6:6 Apostles only ones performing miracles Acts 8:5-7 Philip in Samaria, miracles Acts 8:12 Baptized – NO miracles? Acts 8:15,17 - Apostles’ hands laid Acts 10:44-48 - Before Baptism

Acts 2:38,39 – Promised to All of Every Nation & Every Age who repent Galatians 3:14 “that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:26,27 “sons of God through Faith in Christ Jesus”

Acts 2:38Acts 3:19 Repent Be Baptized Remission of Sins Gift of the Holy Spirit = Repent = Turn again = Sins Blotted Out = Seasons of Refreshing
