Part Definition Example NounA person, place, thing, or idea. Under the clouds, we felt like fish swimming in suntan oil.
Hints to Identify Nouns Place the article a,an, or the before a word. If it makes sense, then it is probably a noun. (This does not work with nouns that are ideas, I.e. freedom, some proper nouns, or dates).
