2 Dehydration 50-75% of your body is water  Found inside and outside your cells To figure out how much water you need divide your body weight by 2= this equals the amount of water in ounces you should consume  Ex: 150/2= 75 ounces of water per day If water that is lost is not replaces dehydration can occur  Dryness of Mouth, weakness, flushed skin and fever can result

3 Chlorine Works with sodium and potassium to controll osmosis Sources: plant and animal foods, table salt and processed foods Deficiencies: Rare  Diarrhea, vomiting,

4 Flourine Functions: Helps teeth reduce decay and helps maintain bone health Sources: Drinking (Tap or flourinated) water, Toothpaste

5 Phosphorus Works with calcium to help build strong bones and teeth Regulates Internal Bodily activities No known deficiencies Excesses can lead to osteoporosis because of low phosphorus to calcium ratios

6 Zinc Helps wounds heal and aides in the functioning of the immune system, promotes normal growth and development in children Food Sources: Legumes, meat, poultry, seafood and whole grains Deficiencies can stunt growth and sexual development of children, cause poor wound healing, impaired taste and night vision
