8 Geschke/English IV Grammar Unit--Conjunctions & Interjections Interjections An interjection is a word that expresses emotion and has no grammatical relation to other words in the sentence –Interjections that show strong emotion are followed by an exclamation point. –Interjections that show mild emotion are followed by a comma.

Number your paper 1-13 and identify every conjunction and its particular type. Extra credit if you can identify the interjection. The number in parenthesis tells you how many conjunctions are in that sentence.
