6 Programme of CPD activities Vision: The RCSLT vision is to add value to the profession in supporting members with CPD opportunities that will be relevant at all stages of their career pathway. RCSLT sought members’ opinions on CPD through a questionnaire Programme will be based on members’ feedback and will be approved by the RCSLT Professional Development and Standards Board and RCSLT Council

8 Providing support and quality monitoring: The CPD diary Allows Support Workers to record CPD activity and reflections on learning Compatible with NHS KSF Allows RCSLT to  provide members with information on CPD activities  monitor no. hours and provide support to therapists/support workers if needed.  Target specific groups to provide views on policy and news

9 So, how do we attract you to work with your membership body? Council approved the Membership & Communication Board’s recommendation that the ‘Associate’ category should not be extended until more data had been collected on the number of support workers and their support needs. How do you and I make sure that RCSLT is a relevant, responsive, appropriate membership body for you?

10 Getting involved now The Professional Development and Standards Board at RCSLT is actively seeking an RCSLT member to represent support workers needs and views. Ideally this will be a support worker. Set up a support workers Special Interest Group in your area - £50 grant for RCSLT registered SIGs Write an article for Bulletin – let people know the value you are adding to SLT services
