3. SOL 3.2- Simple Machines *A simple machine helps people do work!*
A lever moves around a fixed point called a fulcrum.
A wheel and axle is made up of a large wheel attached to a smaller wheel or rod.
A wedge is a made up of two inclined planes placed back-to-back

A screw is an inclined plane wrapped around a pole that is usually used to hold things together.
An inclined plane is a flat surface with one end higher than the other.
A pulley is a rope or chain and a wheel around which the rope fits

A physical property is anything that can be observed using the senses.
Objects are made of one or more materials
