One difference is in the spring, fruit trees blossom, but in the summer these trees just have leaves and grow the fruit. Another difference is that in the spring, it is not warm enough to swim outside, but in the summer you can swim almost every day.

6. Jamie forgot to bring her coat home from school. She accidently left it in her classroom. Since she left it in the school, she didn’t have it for the camp out that night at Skylar’s house. She was so cold because of this! She probably won’t forget her coat ever again.

8. One issue children may have is forgetting which assignments they have for homework. One way to remember which pages are for homework is to mark them while they are still in school. Kids can also write their assignments down in a planner.

10. Lavender flowers grow in many shades of purple and white. They have a very refreshing and calming scent to them. Many people cut lavender and hang it in bunches around the house for decorations.

12. First, get all of the art supplies ready. Then take the water and dab it in the watercolors. Once the paint is saturated in the brush, place it on your paper. Finally you can create a picture just as an artist!

14. Snow is very interesting. Each snowflake has a very different shape and design. When you look at a snowflake up close you will find tiny crystals perfectly lined up.

16. Willow Creek is very different from New York City. There are no tall skyscrapers in Willow Creek. All you can see are fields and sky. Instead of taxicab horns and fire truck sirens, it is so quiet at night that you can hear crickets chirping.

18. Every spring shortly after the tulips bloom, farmers in Holland go through the tulip fields and cut blooms off the tulips. This seems strange, because it leaves a field full of green stems. However, it makes the colorful tulip blooms grow back even bigger and stronger later that spring.

20. Jacob’s room was littered with muddy shoes and unwashed clothes. Piles of newspapers were stacked in the corner and dirty dishes were hidden under the bed. The dusty windows did not let in much light.

22. On Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays, you should water the seeds. Make sure to keep them in a window where there is a lot of sunlight, but if it is cold outside, keep the pot at least two feet away from the window. If you follow these directions, the seeds will take root in the soil, and in two weeks you will see sprouts!
