Especially in the case of the fashion industry, they like the way the products make them look. the fashio design industry is fiercely competitive and exists because people like to look stylish.

However, Samsonite owns something that Hermes could not do, that is placement and it's good for civilians. Hermes try to let them be very luxury and make dreams for people and they cannot lower their price significantly because of its brand, but they still could let many rich people continue to purchase their products. Business focus on advantages with competition. They use methods by which a business holds on to its customers to fight with their competitiors. To shift sales in their direction, they also use non-sustainable competitive advantages.
