3  It is proven that the use of technological tools in the classroom such as SMART Boards can increase student performance and achievement by up to 16% (Marzano, 2009)  SMART Board is a versatile and innovative tool which can be used across all subjects and can be integrated into any classroom to motivate your students to participate more in class (Ziolkowski, 2004).  SMART Board can also have a positive effect on your students’ behavior decreasing the amount of distractions and bolstering your classroom management skills through the use of technology (Thomson & Flecknoe, 2003).
